Right at Home in Jacksonville, FL seeks a caring Homemaker/Companion to support seniors at home. You will provide companionship, assist with light homemaking, and help clients stay independent in their own communities. Roles emphasize trust, empathy, and reliable service.

The position offers flexible schedules, paid training opportunities, and a supportive team environment. A valid driver’s license and English proficiency are required to ensure safe, compassionate care for clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have completed a written Competency Evaluation.
• Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and able to handle job demands.
• Read, write, speak and understand English; accommodations as needed.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a vehicle safely.

Responsabilités

• Provide companionship during activities, walks, and social engagements.
• Assist with homemaking tasks (vacuuming, dusting, cleaning, dishes, laundry, etc.).
• Perform light household duties in a way that meets client needs while keeping time spent on such tasks under 20%.
• Build partner relationships with clients and support their independence.
• Be willing to run errands and assist with basic meal preparation when needed.
