Job summary

ComForCare Home Care - Contra Costa West is seeking a compassionate Home Care Aide to support seniors in Orinda, CA. You will assist with ADLs, provide companionship, prepare meals, and help with light housekeeping while monitoring health and coordinating with supervisors.

The role emphasizes client-centered care, independence, and reliable transportation. A background check and references are required; CPR/First Aid is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience as a home care aide, caregiver, CNA, or related caregiving role preferred.
• Genuine compassion, patience, and a client-centered approach to care.
• Ability to pass a background check and provide verifiable references.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow a care plan with minimal supervision.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, vacuuming, and tidying living spaces
• Assist with medication reminders and monitor client health and well-being
• Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments or errands
• Document and communicate any changes in client condition to supervisors
