Job summary

ComForCare Home Care - Contra Costa West in Orinda, CA is seeking a compassionate Home Care Aide to support seniors at home. You will provide personal care, assist with mobility, prepare meals, and offer companionship while following a care plan and reporting changes to supervisors.

The role emphasizes patient care, safety, and respectful communication, with opportunities for flexible scheduling and ongoing training. A driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in home care or caregiving preferred.
• Pass a background check and provide references.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow a care plan with minimal supervision.
• CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support.
• Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and tidying living spaces.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and their families.
• Assist with medication reminders and monitor client health and well-being.
• Transport clients to appointments, errands, and social activities.
• Document and report any changes in client condition to supervisors.
