Job summary

Opulent Personal Care Agency is seeking a dedicated Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide compassionate, in-home care for elderly or disabled clients. You will assist with daily activities, hygiene, mobility, meals, and light housekeeping in clients' homes.

The role emphasizes companionship, safety, and adherence to care plans, with training provided and flexibility around scheduling. Prior experience is preferred, CPR/First Aid certification is desirable, and a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in personal care or home health is preferred
• Completion of a PCA training program is a plus; ongoing training will be provided
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and oral care
• Help clients with mobility, including transfers from bed to chair and walking with mobility aids
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
• Remind clients to take medications and help organize medications if needed
• Prepare nutritious meals considering dietary restrictions or preferences
• Assist with light housekeeping and keep living areas tidy
• Observe and report changes in the client’s condition to the supervisor or healthcare provider
• Ensure a safe home environment and report potential hazards
• Assist with transportation to medical appointments or errands if applicable
