Job summary

Interim HealthCare in Willows, CA is seeking a Home Care Aide (Caregiver) to support seniors at home. The role offers a Saturday 8a–5:30p shift with every-other-week rotation, $18.00 per hour, and responsibilities spanning personal care, mobility assistance, and companion support.

The ideal candidate has transferring experience, can pass background checks and screenings, and can clock care activities via smartphone.

Qualifications

• 6+ months experience caregiving preferred
• Ability to pass a DOJ/FBI background clearance
• Able to get a negative TB test
• Must pass a comprehensive drug screen
• Able and willing to use your smartphone to clock in and out / document care activities
• Driver's License and Transportation

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized attention to support each client's physical, mental, and social well-being.
• Assist with transfer and ambulation using proper body mechanics or lifting devices.
• Be knowledgeable of the client's individualized care plan and provide support accordingly.
• Contribute to the care planning process by communicating observations of the client's needs and preferences.
• Attend to client needs including grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, transferring, ambulation, ROM, communication, or other needs per care requirements.
• Assist client with medication reminders (that the client self-administers) to ensure medications are taken.
• Maintain the client's comfort, privacy, and dignity during services; interact with warmth and care.
• Communicate effectively with the client's visitors and families.
• Perform homemaking tasks: vacuuming, dusting, sweeping/mopping, dishes, bed linens, laundry, bathrooms.
• Dementia experience helpful.
