Job summary

Alc-Health-Care-Services is seeking a part-time Caregiver in Brookfield, IL to support clients at home. The role emphasizes safety, comfort, and companionship, with duties including ADLs, light housekeeping, meals, and medication reminders.

The caregiver will follow a written Plan of Care, document activities, and communicate changes to supervisors. Qualified candidates have CNA experience preferred and demonstrate dependable, patient, respectful care.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and follow a written Plan of Care and document tasks performed.
• Be self-directed and work with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate dependability, tact, patience, and the ability to follow instructions.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience in cleaning, laundry, medication reminders, escort services.

Responsibilities

• Observe client functioning and report changes to supervisor.
• Attend to the client's requests promptly.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Provide companionship, socialization, and housekeeping services.
• Assist with medication reminders: verify intake, prompt, and open containers if needed.
• Assist with meal planning, food purchase, and preparation.
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment; perform light housekeeping.
• Run personal errands and manage laundry, vacuuming, and dusting.
• Change bed linens and follow infection control policies.
• Maintain communication with supervisory staff and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document care and observations accurately as directed.
