Monroeville Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents, staff and visitors. The role covers public areas, resident rooms, and shared spaces, with strict adherence to safety protocols and sanitization standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public and common areas including lobbies, restrooms, drinking fountains, and floors.
• Ensure resident rooms and bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
• Wipe down handrails to keep them free of dust and debris.
• Remove dirt, dust, and food from walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures, and dispensers.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners as needed.
• Sweep and mop floors throughout the facility.
• Follow safety protocols and store chemicals securely.
• Operate cleaning equipment and use supplies according to manufacturer instructions.
• Keep housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas clean and sanitary.
• Report resident safety concerns to the Director of Housekeeping or Administrator.
• Notify when supplies need replenishment.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• Manage time effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
