Eastern Health Group is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The role covers cleaning in rooms, common areas, and staff spaces, following infection control procedures, and reporting maintenance needs.

Responsibilities include trash removal, floor care, laundry support, and restocking supplies while upholding confidentiality and professionalism with residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience in healthcare or residential settings preferred, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Compassionate, respectful, and maintain confidentiality and professionalism with residents.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & sanitizing: Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways daily.
• Trash removal: Collect and dispose of waste per safety protocols.
• Floor care: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors.
• Laundry support: Collect, sort, and deliver linens and personal laundry.
• Restocking supplies: Replenish housekeeping supplies in resident rooms and bathrooms.
• Reporting maintenance needs: Identify and report maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department.
• Adhere to safety standards: Follow health, safety, and infection control protocols including PPE.
• Resident interaction: Engage with residents respectfully while maintaining privacy and dignity.
