Job summary

Eastern Health Group is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. You will clean resident rooms, common areas, and staff spaces, following infection control procedures and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include trash removal, floor care, laundry support, restocking supplies, and reporting maintenance needs. Excellent communication and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality and professionalism when interacting with residents.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize resident rooms, bathrooms, common areas, hallways, and other assigned areas daily.
• Dispose of waste per safety protocols including medical waste and hazardous materials.
• Perform floor care: sweep, mop, vacuum.
• Support laundry: sort and deliver linens.
• Restock housekeeping supplies in rooms and bathrooms.
• Report maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department.
• Follow health, safety, and infection control protocols including PPE.
• Interact with residents respectfully while maintaining privacy.
• Use and maintain cleaning equipment.
• Participate in deep-cleaning projects and seasonal sanitation efforts.
