Job summary

[Unknown] is seeking a care assistant to support residents with daily activities, meals, and basic nursing tasks under supervision. The role involves medication assistance, documentation, and maintaining a safe, clean living environment.

Responsibilities include vital signs, charting, patient safety, and assisting with admissions and transfers as needed. Strong English communication and physical stamina are required. Training will cover safety, infection control, and resident rights.

Qualifications

• Must have HS education or equivalent.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Completion of certification training program is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medications as ordered by their physician(s).
• Document all medication management functions as required by regulation and community protocols.
• Obtain, receive, and store medication from the pharmacy.
• Participate in the medication training program and demonstrate competency.
• Maintain order and cleanliness in the medication storage area.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and basic room care.
• Record vital signs, weight, and other data; observe skin condition and report changes.
• Prepare residents for meals and assist with after-meal care.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and report complaints or incidents promptly.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge procedures and inventory resident belongings.
• Follow universal precautions and hygiene/safety rules; report safety violations.
