Job summary

Sci Corp is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant in Falls Church, VA to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations. You will greet the public, answer questions, and assist with services as requested by clients and management.

Responsibilities include preparing for services, assisting with remains, driving for services, and supporting visitations and transportation as needed, all while upholding company policies and values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; ability and willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services by delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes; ensures proper care and storage.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations, maintenance as directed by management.
• Assists with preparation of remains and transportation as permitted by law and company policies.
• Answering phones, operating office equipment; handling several tasks with courtesy.
• Run errands for floral delivery, supplies, and documents.
• Serves as an usher and may park cars or handle transportation needs.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensures refreshments when allowed by law.
• Assists with visitations, memorials and funerals including setup and delivery of family items.
