Job summary

You will work with funeral directors, greet visitors, guide attendees, move caskets, and operate hearses as part of the service team. This role requires empathy, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Weekend/evening on-call availability may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the funeral director with a variety of tasks during funerals and visitations to ensure services run smoothly
• Makes attendees feel welcome and provides guidance at the location
• Assists in moving the casketed deceased and related items in and out of visitation areas
• Drives the hearse, family limousine, or other vehicles in the funeral cortege and related activities
