Our funeral home in Dallas, TX is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations. You will greet families, answer questions, assist on services, and attend monthly staff meetings in line with company policies.

A compassionate, professional team player is essential. Responsibilities include preparing service setups, documents, and assisting with visitation, cremation, and transportation duties.

• Experience in customer service or sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for services by arranging floral items, urns, photos and keepsakes.
• Prepare documents related to services and cremations.
• Assist with remains preparation under supervision; dress and handle remains.
• Perform office duties: phones, fax, computer, POS, typewriter, postage meter, scale, stereo/video system.
• Run errands for flowers and supplies.
• Usher and parking duties as needed.
• Operate funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensure refreshments are available where allowed by law.
• Assist with visitations, memorials and funerals, including setup and deliveries.
• Greet clients and provide information; assist families.
• May wash/clean funeral home vehicles.
