Responsibilities

• Safely drives company vehicles for first-call removals to transport the deceased to the funeral home or designated location.
• Maintains knowledge of company policies and ensures procedures are followed at all times.
• Follows chain-of-custody, paperwork and deceased identification processes.
• Cooperates with first responders, Medical Examiners, hospital staff, etc., and aligns with their procedures.
• Gathers information during a First Call, enters it into the systems, and dispatches for pickup.
• Interacts with families with empathy, ensuring a warm and professional demeanor.
• Maintains vehicle cleanliness and fuel, and ensures supplies in removal vehicles.
• Directs phone calls and assists families with inquiries and information.
