Carriage Services in Lakeland, FL seeks a dedicated Funeral Director/Embalmer. The role is full-time, with Monday–Friday schedule and on-call/weekend as needed, offering $25–$32 per hour.

You will meet with families to arrange personalized services, ensure timely filing of documents, perform embalming, and supervise supporting staff at our care center. A valid funeral director/embalmer license, clean driving record, and willingness to engage with the community are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as Funeral Director/Embalmer
• Valid Funeral Director/Embalmer License or ability to obtain in the state
• Willingness to participate in growing market through community involvement
• Valid state driver’s license with good driving record

Responsabilités

• Meets with client families to listen and arrange personalized memorial services
• Ensures timely and accurate filing of documents in accordance with laws
• Conducts and attends services regularly
• Maintains up-to-date client files and clear communication
• Performs required training
• Works on-call/first call with embalming skills at care center locations
• Uses proprietary software for merchandise options, contracts, and forms
• Leads staff to maintain high standard of professionalism and service
• Participates in community events and group collaborations
