Qualifications

• Valid state licensure (or eligibility) as a Funeral Director and Embalmer in Florida.
• Completion of an accredited mortuary science or funeral service education program.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Knowledge of funeral service laws, regulations, and ethics.
• Effective communication with families and partners.
• Ability to work on-site with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical capacity for standing and handling equipment.
• Proficiency with basic office software; prior funeral home experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet with client families to plan and coordinate funeral and memorial services.
• Prepare, embalm, and care for the deceased according to professional and legal standards.
• Oversee visitations, services, and burials.
• Complete required documentation, coordinate with cemeteries, clergy, and service providers.
• Manage logistics such as transportation and scheduling.
