Job summary

Everstory Partners in Riverview, FL, seeks a licensed Funeral Director to lead a team and provide compassionate care to families during their time of loss. You will coordinate arrangements, oversee embalming, and ensure compliant documentation throughout the service process.

The role requires licensing as a funeral director and embalmer, plus strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Availability for holidays, evenings, and weekends is expected in a full-time capacity at our on-site funeral

Qualifications

• Licensed funeral director and embalmer or eligible to obtain state license
• 1 year of experience as a licensed funeral director
• 2 years of post-secondary education in embalming or mortuary science
• Strong concentration and attention for extended periods
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; empathetic environment
• Ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively
• Valid state driver’s license
• Availability to work holidays, evenings and weekends

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients to arrange funeral services, explain options, assist in casket selection, provide pricing and prepare contracts
• Perform embalming and technical prep as required
• Finalize details discussed during arrangement conferences with proper documentation
• Direct funeral services and visitation, coordinate pallbearers and escort clergy
• Assist with funerals when needed or act as driver for hearse/limousine
• Prepare and issue permits, death certificates and related documents
• Transport deceased from home or hospital to funeral home
• Maintain cleanliness of preparation room and equipment
• Undertake any other related functions as assigned
