Job summary

SCI is seeking a licensed Funeral Director in Arkansas to guide families through funeral arrangements, coordinate services, and ensure compliance with regulations. You will lead arrangements conferences, oversee ceremonies, and collaborate with staff to deliver compassionate, respectful services.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school or college of mortuary science.
• Current Funeral Director license within the practicing state.
• Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record required to operate company owned vehicles.
• Industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives or initiates call to deceased next of kin, schedules Arrangement appointments, and emails confirmations.
• May perform removals or transfers, caring for the deceased and updating status in proprietary software.
• Greets next of kin and facilitates Arrangements Conference, presenting options and benefits.
• Presides as Master of Ceremonies for visitation, funeral, or graveside services and ensures contract adherence.
• Performs event planning tasks such as music, flowers, catering, and memorial products; handles post-event duties.
• Interacts with families to fulfill death care requests and identifies potential pre-need opportunities.
• Works under guidance, ensures compliance with regulations, and keeps workload aligned with priorities.
