Job summary

SCI, a national leader in funeral and memorial services, seeks a licensed Funeral Director in Plano, TX. You will guide families through arrangements, coordinate visitations, and preside over services in accordance with families' wishes and applicable laws.

As part of Arrangements Conference, Directing Services, and Event Planning, you will review contracts, present merchandise options, and ensure respectful handling of the deceased.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school or college of mortuary science.
• Current Funeral Director license within the practicing state.
• Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record required to operate company owned vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Arrangements Conference: guide families through arrangements, discuss needs, and schedule appointments.
• Directing Services: preside over visitation, funeral, or graveside services with professionalism.
• Event Planning: coordinate music, flowers, catering, and memoriam products; ensure setup and post-event tasks.
• General/Compliance: uphold regulatory requirements and maintain compassionate customer care.
• Sales & Contracts: present cemetery property and merchandise options and finalize contracts.
