Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking dedicated professionals to support families through funeral arrangements, cremation services and memorials. You will work on-call to handle calls, supervise care of the deceased, and coordinate ceremonies with attention to legal and company procedures.

You will verify authorizations, prepare documents, and assist with family aftercare while maintaining a compassionate, compliant service ethic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a dual degree training program at an accredited mortuary college or technical school as required by state/province law.
• Knowledge of computers and MS Office products.

Responsibilities

• Takes first calls and chats with families, provides initial details and transfers.
• Supervises and cares for the deceased with respect, including embalming, dressing, and cosmetics.
• Arranges funeral and memorial ceremonies, negotiates contracts, and handles paperwork and payments.
• Ensures families are informed of veteran recognition/services and coordinates interment or cremation as requested.
