Job summary

Dignity Health Rehabilitation Hospital, in partnership with Select Medical, is seeking a Food Service Aide for PRN/Per-diem shifts with compensation of $18.00/hr. The role supports inpatient rehabilitation patients through meal preparation, dietary accommodations, and safe food handling.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Food Handlers Card.
Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling (preferred).
Healthcare/restaurant experience (preferred).
Commitment to customer service (preferred).
Willingness to perform routine tasks and work with the culinary team.

Responsibilities

Prepare high-quality food in a timely and efficient manner.
Operate equipment and perform related duties safely.
Complete all procedures scheduled during the shift without compromising quality.
Maintain compliance with sanitation and HACCP guidelines.
Complete cleaning tasks including trash removal, sweeping and mopping.
Assist patients with menu selections and accommodate dietary needs.
Update diet changes in the patient diet management system and distribute reports.
Stock nourishment rooms and assist with kitchen stocking.
Perform cafeteria duties including serving, grilling, stocking, cleaning and cash handling.
