BestCare Treatment Services is seeking a Facility Cook to provide nutritious meals and maintain high food-safety standards for clients in Detox. The role requires adherence to the agency's ethics and policies, and a commitment to the mission in the community.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma and at least 1 year of commercial/institutional kitchen experience; recovery from substance-use disorder must be maintained for the past two years.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in food preparation in a commercial or institutional kitchen (hospital, school, restaurant).
• For individuals in recovery from substance-use disorder, must have maintained continuous recovery for the previous two years at the time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with tracking and maintaining food inventory and purchases within budget guidelines.
• Assist with advance preparation of meals planned for the week.
• Ensure kitchen facilities, sanitation, and equipment maintenance.
• Observe all health guidelines and standards.
• Prepare three meals per day according to the meal plan.
• Maintain cleanliness of cooking and food prep areas.
• Wash dishes and utensils as needed.
• Respect client dietary rules and special needs.
• May drive to pick up supplies for meal prep.
• Maintain confidentiality of clients.
