Job summary

Markesan Resident Home Inc is seeking a Resident Associate Assistant to provide care and assistance to residents as directed by the Housing Manager. The role supports the residents per their Plan of Care and participates in duties to maintain a safe, clean living environment.

The position covers housekeeping, activities support, safety monitoring, and documentation across shifts. The ideal candidate is reliable, enjoys working with the elderly and can lift and move equipment as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak the English language.
• Must show evidence of good physical and mental health.
• Must be able to deal with the residents and public tactfully.
• Must possess the personal qualities that make it possible to maintain good interpersonal relationships.
• Must enjoy working with the elderly.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc., throughout the workday.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care as assigned, completing tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
• Identifies special resident problems and reports to Housing Manager.
• Documents incidents and/or unusual problems per established procedure.
• Works cooperatively with residents, other Resident Associates, physicians and families.
• Greets residents by name and communicates with residents and families in a kind manner.
• Keeps required notes and documents per shift and reports changes to Housing Manager or nurse.
