You will assist with daily living activities, support hygiene, meal prep, and maintain a safe, respectful environment. You will collaborate with nurses, families, and coworkers, document observations, and participate in activities that promote dignity and independence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must complete the SJU CNA Course within 6 months from hire date.
• Must obtain certification within 120 days of class completion.

Responsibilities

• Personal Care: assist residents with daily hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming and related care.
• Housekeeping & home maintenance: clean environment, report shortages and maintain safety policies.
• Food preparation and service: assist with meals, ensure nutrition and dietary needs.
• Communication: maintain confidentiality, report changes to nurses, document observations.
• Safety: follow safety rules and infection control measures, participate in safety in-services.
• Mission/Customer Service: greet residents warmly, provide attentive service, support meaningful activities.
