Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. is seeking an Elder Assistant to support seniors with daily living activities, personal care, meal assistance, and mobility support. You will help with bathing, dressing, grooming, transporting to activities, and maintaining clean rooms and common areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Commitment to caring for older adults and to the organization’s mission.
• Must complete annual training: 8 hours in-service annually; 4 hours dementia-specific training annually (if assigned); First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal care.
• Transport elders to activities, meals, and appointments.
• Serve meals and assist with dietary needs and dietary compliance.
• Conduct activities that engage and enrich the lives of elders.
• Clean and maintain elder rooms, common areas, and workspaces.
• Assist with incontinence care, morning and evening routines.
• Monitor and report changes in elders’ conditions to the Charge Nurse.
