Job summary

Aspire Rural Health System is seeking a dedicated Resident Care Aide to support residents at The Heartlands, Marlette, MI. This full-time position involves monitoring residents, helping with meals, and assisting with daily activities in a caring, therapeutic environment.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid certification, and a genuine interest in caring for older adults, including those with dementia. We offer full benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Experience with older adults preferred; dementia care experience valued.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident care, monitor medical conditions, and report changes to the resident care manager.
• Develop and maintain relationships with residents through regular interaction, encouragement and support.
• Serve meals, snacks, and beverages and assist with eating as needed.
• Perform housekeeping duties within the community.
• Assist residents in organized activities and maintain resident records.
• Demonstrate sensitivity to residents’ comfort and privacy.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents and knowledge of dementia care concepts.
• Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for residents and their families.
