Senior Lifestyle’s Evergreen Retirement Community in Cincinnati seeks a Home Maker to provide personal assistance to residents in Independent Living and Assisted Living. Duties include daily living tasks, meal prep, and errand support, with documentation on daily reports and attendance at trainings.

Requirements include a High School diploma and 0-1+ years in general patient care, with emphasis on patience, empathy, and English language skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Area of Study: General Education
• Years of Experience: 0-1+ years
• Type of Experience: General patient care in a care facility or in a home situation.
• Language Skills: The ability to understand and speak the English language.
• Personal Attributes: Patience and compassion for the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Provide Home Making Services as required: Make the bed, wash dishes, tidy the apartment, organize closets and dresser drawers, launder clothing and bedding, iron, grocery shopping, meal preparations.
• Provide additional assistance as required.
• Document on the daily report sheets services provided to the resident. Daily reports to be completed and returned at the end of each shift.
• Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
• Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
