Job summary

Kindly Direct Care in Monroe Township, NJ seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-to-one companionship and support to an adult with developmental and intellectual disabilities. We prioritize consistent, compassionate care in the community and daily activities.

You will transport to appointments, assist with community outings, errands, and social opportunities, while helping to develop life skills and independence under a service plan.

Qualifications

• Warm, patient, dependable and genuinely interested in building a consistent relationship.
• Able to reliably work the posted schedule.
• Comfortable supporting an adult one-to-one in community settings.
• Valid driver license and vehicle required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support.
• Help the individual out in the community.
• Support errands, appointments, recreation, social opportunities, or other community activities as applicable.
• Encourage independence, communication, decision-making, self-advocacy, and life skills.
• Help the individual work toward goals identified in the service plan.
• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions.
• Complete required documentation and communicate reliably with the Kindly team.
