Job summary

Kindly Direct Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Monroe Township, New Jersey. The role focuses on providing one-to-one companionship and person-centered support to an adult with developmental disabilities, with driving responsibilities to accompany the individual to appointments and community activities.

Responsibilities include facilitating community outings, supporting errands and appointments, and promoting independence and life skills.

Qualifications

• Warm, patient, dependable, and genuinely interested in building a consistent relationship.
• Able to reliably work the posted schedule.
• VALID DRIVER LICENSE and VEHICLE REQUIRED
• Minimum of 1 year of experience

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support
• Help the individual out in the community
• Support errands, appointments, recreation, social opportunities, or other community activities as applicable
• Encourage independence, communication, decision-making, self-advocacy, and life skills
• Help the individual work toward goals identified in the service plan
• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions
• Complete required documentation and communicate reliably with the Kindly team
