Job summary

Kindly Direct Care in Sewell, NJ is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support to an adult with developmental disabilities. You will assist with daily living, promote independence, and accompany the individual on community outings on weekends.

The role is full-time with a fixed Saturday/Sunday schedule, 9 am-4 pm or 10 am-5 pm, and pay of $17–$21 per hour. A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license are preferred to enable transportation needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct support or caregiving is preferred.
• Ability to work one-to-one with an adult in home and community settings.
• Reliable and patient approach to building trust and promoting independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support.
• Help the individual participate in community outings such as movies and dining.
• Support errands, appointments, recreation, volunteering, and social activities.
• Encourage independence, decision-making, self-advocacy, and life skills.
• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions; complete required documentation.
