Job summary

Living Innovations is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to empower adults with IDD to live fulfilling lives at home and in the community. Full training is provided and you’ll work in a supportive environment.

You will assist with daily living activities, transportation, social participation, and life skills, with a focus on independence and dignity. A high school diploma and valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Patient, caring and positive attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build rapport with individuals with IDD.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to individual needs.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid state issued driver’s license and vehicle insurance/registration.
• Access to a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass comprehensive background checks.
• Provide 2 professional references.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living assistance with tasks like dressing, meal preparation, and personal hygiene.
• Provide transportation to appointments and community outings.
• Encourage participation in social activities and hobbies.
• Help individuals develop life skills and achieve their goals.
• Foster a positive and supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity.
