Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals DSPs to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. You will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), community participation and behavioral support while helping clients live independently.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years or older.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to pass criminal background, driving, and healthcare registry checks.
Paid training provided; prior disability care experience not required.

Responsibilities

Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene and household tasks.
Support individuals in community participation, employment and social activities.
Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
Communicate with Abound team members, families and external parties as needed.
Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
