Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD in Ocean City, NJ. The role involves assisting with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live independently.

Starting pay is $23/hour (non-acuity) or $33/hour (acuity) with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in 3 installments; 20+ hours/week average to receive the bonus, plus comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required.

Responsibilities

• Building positive relationships and supporting individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Supporting individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Using adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encouraging independence and helping individuals develop new skills
• Monitoring health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicating with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed
• Completing documentation and maintaining schedules
