Job summary

Resources For Human Development (RHD) Delaware – Residential Services seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate, person-centered support in a residential setting for individuals with IDD and behavioral health needs. The DSP assists with daily living, community engagement, and goal achievement while promoting independence, dignity, health, safety, and quality of life.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily living support including personal hygiene, dressing, meals, housekeeping, and medication assistance.
• Assist individuals in developing independent living skills and ISP goals.
• Promote community inclusion through activities and relationships.
• Monitor health, safety, and well-being; provide transportation to appointments and activities.
• Administer medications as trained and document accordingly.
• Complete required documentation: logs, MARs, goals, incidents, and health/safety logs.
• Support residential operations and HIPAA/compliance standards.
