Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Calabash, NC to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with IDD. DSPs assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support, helping clients live independently.

Starting pay ranges from $16.00 to $17.00 per hour with a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments when averaging 20+ hours/week. Flexible schedules, weekly pay, paid onboarding and training, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support helping individuals build independence and confidence.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meals, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and communication.
• Encourage independence and help develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and case managers as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintain schedules.
• Complete ongoing training and professional development.
