Job summary

Help at Home is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide one-on-one care in the home and community settings, supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live safely and independently.

You will help clients develop daily living skills, follow personalized support plans, and contribute to a respectful, person-centered care environment across shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent or completion of a state-approved training program.
• Ability to pass required written competency test.

Responsibilities

• Help individuals build daily living skills and participate in their communities.
• Follow each individual's Individual Support Plan and report progress to supervisor.
• Assist with daily living activities: cooking, cleaning, grooming, hygiene, transportation.
• Encourage participation in shopping, events, appointments, and community activities.
• Document services and progress accurately; communicate with team for consistency.
