Abound Health is hiring a reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide caregiving for a 32-year-old female in Pittsboro, NC. The DSP will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help her live independently.

Paid training and growth opportunities are offered in a mission-driven I/DD environment. The role includes documentation, teamwork with families and case managers, and ongoing professional development, with a starting pay of $16.50+ per hour and a $1,000

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid drivers license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal background check, driving record, and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required – we provide paid training and support.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development
