Job summary

InnovAge Holding Corp. Driver – Participant Care in the Los Angeles area provides transportation for frail and elderly participants to Day Centers and appointments, and for field trips as part of the activities program.

They also deliver in-home meals, and handle supplies and medications for participants. Responsibilities include assisting participants into homes, pre/post trip checks, and coordinating with dispatch for scheduled routes, while maintaining safety and adhering to policies.

Qualifications

• Previous DOT and Defensive Driving experience.
• One year of experience working with the frail or elderly.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Drives InnovAge vehicles safely following policies and routes.
• Loads/unloads participants and assists into/out of homes.
• Transports participants to scheduled appointments.
• Delivers in-home meals, supplies and medications.
• Assists participants with simple tasks and moving items.
• Keeps Dispatch updated on events for assigned routes.
• Maintains vehicle safety and coordinates maintenance.
• Supports other drivers with loading/unloading.
• Participates in Plans of Care for PACE participants.
