Job summary

Elderhaus in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Full-Time Driver for its PACE program. You will transport participants safely to the Center, appointments, and outings, assist with meals and supplies, and keep vehicles clean and inspected.

You will communicate with dispatch and the Transportation Coordinator to adjust schedules and ensure participant safety and dignity. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED, at least 23 years old, a valid NC driver's license, and the ability to read maps

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of experience with frail or elderly adults preferred.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport PACE participants according to schedules and dispatch updates.
• Transport meals, durable medical equipment, pharmacy items, and supplies.
• Provide assistance to participants entering and exiting vehicles.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform pre/post trip inspections.
• Report vehicle issues to Transportation Coordinator promptly.
• Maintain transportation records including mileage and fuel logs.
