Job summary

Accendra Health is seeking aDelivery Technician to deliver durable medical equipment to patients in their homes. The role includes loading, unloading, and basic equipment setup, with on-call emergency deliveries as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of related experience, and a minimum of three years driving history. A valid driver’s license and completion of the company Driver Training Program are required.

Qualifications

• Education or experience equivalent to a high school diploma is required.
• At least one year related experience is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age or older at the time of hire.
• Minimum of three years driving history required.
• Successful completion of Apria Healthcare's Driver Training Program.
• Must meet job-related requirements to comply with D.O.T., FDA and standards of accrediting body.
• English (reading, writing, verbal).

Responsibilities

• Deliver durable medical equipment to patients in the home.
• Pull, pack, deliver and pick up medications, supplies and basic equipment.
• Instruct patients on basic use of respiratory therapy equipment and other approved devices.
• Load/unload equipment onto delivery vehicle.
• Complete daily delivery logs, pickup and delivery forms and vehicle maintenance logs.
• Notify supervisor if unsafe home conditions or abuse are observed.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report malfunctions.
• Respond to emergency delivery calls during business hours and on-call.
