Job summary

Chimes is seeking Direct Support Professionals to provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges in Newark, DE. The role involves personal care, medication administration, and implementing individualized care plans, with a focus on safety and dignity.

The DSPs will work day programs, residential settings, or floater shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. CPR/First Aid and Mandt certifications are required, and a valid driver’s license is preferred for

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certifications in human services preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain active CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Mandt (or other crisis intervention training) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and supervision to individuals to ensure safety, engagement, and well-being.
• Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including hygiene, dressing, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Implement and follow individualized care plans, supporting each person’s goals and skill development.
• Administer medications accurately and in compliance with agency policies and regulations.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and organized environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
• Foster community integration by facilitating participation in activities, events, and social interactions.
