Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Wednesday 8AM-8PM, Friday & Saturday 9AM-9PM in Newark, DE. You will support individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity and independence in a team-focused setting.

This role offers paid training, benefits starting Day 1, and opportunities for growth. You will follow care plans, assist with daily living skills, and help promote community engagement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience in disability services is a plus but not required; training is provided.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history per policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing and other daily living skills.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some DSP roles may require travel between Residential and Day programs.
