Job summary

Chimes is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges in Dover, DE. This full-time DSP role offers hands-on support, personal care, and documentation duties in a compassionate, team-oriented setting.

You will follow care plans, assist with daily living activities, and support community engagement. Training is provided; travel for some positions is possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience in disability services preferred (not required—we train!).
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing and other daily living skills.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some DSP roles will require travel and support from Residential to Day programs.
