The Direct Support Professional role supports individuals with daily living, personal care, and community participation, following individualized care plans and safety protocols.

This on-site position in Newark, DE requires flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on compassion, dignity, and respect in all interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/First Aid and Mandt certifications preferred/required.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities is beneficial and a strong care attitude is essential.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct support and supervision to individuals to ensure safety and well-being.
• Assist with personal care tasks, including hygiene, dressing, mobility and meals.
• Follow individualized care plans and support each person’s goals and skills.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and proper documentation.
