Job summary

I Am Boundless, Inc. is seeking a staff member to work under the Assistant Manager, providing direct programming and/or dietary, laundry, toileting, housekeeping, and related support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities include implementing IPs, documenting services, assisting with meals, shopping, laundry, and transportation. Compliance, safety, and positive resident interaction are emphasized throughout the role.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age; High School Diploma or equivalent; must be able to communicate in English, including both spoken and written.
• Licensure/Certification: Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR (adult, child, and infant); valid Ohio Driver’s License with Ohio BMV; proof of auto insurance.
• Experience: One-year experience working with intellectually/developmentally disabled individuals preferred.
• Physical and environmental requirements: ability to perform balancing, standing, stooping, kneeling, lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs, climbing, and exposure to bodily fluids and varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• In ICF Program assists in the development and implementation of Individual Plans (IP’s).
• In Supported Living and Respite, assists in the implementation of specific care requirements individualized for each consumer.
• Performs related household chores; assists in shopping for food/dietary supplies; laundry, ironing, and storage of clothing; maintains inventories.
• Assists residents with preparation and/or nutritious meals; maintains labeling of stored and prepared food; ensures dining areas are clean and sanitary.
• Attends in-service trainings; accounts for resident funds; assists in inventorying clothing and personal possessions; accompanies residents for purchases.
• Transports clients as needed; operates Boundless vehicles and/or personal vehicle; may perform delegated nursing tasks.
• Maintains household files for compliance; reports incidents and medical situations; performs first aid as trained; performs other related duties.
