Job summary

Catholic Charities is seeking a Direct Support Worker-Day in Manchester, CT to assist in coordinating residential services and providing care for individuals with developmental disabilities. The role requires close supervision in a residential setting and adherence to policies.

Qualifications include a preferred Bachelor's degree or a high school diploma with 2 years’ experience, and Medication Administration Certification (or ability to obtain).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or High school Diploma with 2 years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Must have Medication Administration Certification or must be able to obtain Certification after hire.
• Demonstrates organizational ability and communicates effectively with individuals served and team.
• Background checks required; valid CT driver’s license with up to 2 violations in 3 years; annual review.

Responsibilities

• Treat individuals with respect, dignity and compassion at all times.
• Daily living activities support including meal prep and leisure activities.
• Documentation in Therap and program records; ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Attend mandatory trainings and maintain DDS Medication Administration Certification.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy of individuals’ information.
• Additional duties as assigned.
