Job summary

InCommunity is hiring a Direct Support Professional in Roswell, GA. The DSP helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live safely and joyfully in their communities, supporting engagement, daily living tasks, meals, and transportation.

The role emphasizes following ISPs, medical protocols, and safety procedures while promoting respectful relationships and confidentiality. Evening, weekend, and overnight shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least six (6) months of experience in developmental disabilities, mental health, or aging services preferred.
• Personal or volunteer experience supporting individuals with disabilities may be considered.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet company driving standards, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Interact respectfully with individuals and assist participation in home and community activities.
• Follow ISP, medical protocols, and communication logs; monitor health and behavior changes.
• Assist with meals, personal hygiene, grooming, and daily living activities.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and meal preparation; transport individuals as needed.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and maintain confidentiality; team collaboration.
• Adhere to attendance policies and support overnight shift duties when required.
