Deaf and Hard of Hearing Programs require ASL fluency; candidates must meet pre-employment screening and comply with state regulations while delivering compassionate, person-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must complete pre-employment screening including background checks.
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to person-centered support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to foster independence while providing necessary support.
• Knowledge of disability rights, self-advocacy, and community integration.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and follow regulatory guidelines.
