Job summary

Firefly Supported Living & Employment Services in Joplin, MO is hiring a Direct Support Professional (Caregiver) to assist adults with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. This part-time position offers on-site support Monday through Friday with awake overnight shifts, no experience required and free training provided.

You will help clients develop life skills, document progress, and follow ISP plans, working with a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if applicable).
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with developmental disabilities in homes and communities.
• Provide transportation for appointments, shopping, and community outings.
• Teach independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, and money management.
• Document client progress, achievements, and milestones.
• Follow each Individual Support Plan (ISP) and participate in team meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
