Job summary

Firefly is seeking a Direct Support Professional (Caregiver) in Lamar, MO to assist adults with developmental disabilities at home and in the community. You’ll help with daily living skills, transportation, and community participation, while following each Individual Support Plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (if applicable).
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Support adults with developmental disabilities in homes and communities.
• Help individuals access community resources and participate in social activities.
• Provide transportation for appointments, shopping, and outings.
• Teach independent living skills (cooking, cleaning, budgeting).
• Assist with daily living needs and personal care as needed.
• Document progress and milestones; communicate with families and team.
